Wei-En Tan, Ph.D.
Wei-En Tan, Ph.D. runs Attitude Aero which focuses on specialized training for pilots, including tailwheel endorsements, competition or basic aerobatics, and spin training for CFIs. She has over 2000 hours total time, including 700 aerobatic and emergency maneuver training hours in tailwheel aircraft. She has worked with the FAA safety team (FAAST) to design seminars and flight-training around LOC-I and Emergency Maneuver Training. Wei-En is passionate about aviation safety, and is a competition aerobatic pilot
Wei-En obtained her Ph.D. Masters, and Bachelors in Mathematics, Econometrics, Statistics, French and Comparative Literature at Stanford, Harvard and Cornell Universities. She has managed hedge funds, and has worked in leadership positions in aerospace, clean energy, and finance. In 2017, she co-founded a Silicon Valley-based company in AI Medical Imaging, which currently has deployments in hospitals and clinics globally.
